Online Training Courses

Lasvidex Security offers several online training courses. The Terms of Use are as follows:

All courses must be completed in their entirety within 90 days of receiving your login credentials. If you fail to submit a required form or certification on time, there will be $50.00 + HST extension fee. Extensions are 7 days long only.

• The use of our platform requires basic understanding of computer use. Therefore, we do not offer assistance in navigating the course material.
• We do not offer refunds.
• The Online Security Guard Training Course includes Emergency First Aid Certification. This certificate must be obtained with our partner and course provider. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they meet licensing requirements.

Prohibited uses

In addition to the terms outlined in the Agreement, you are expressly prohibited from using the Website, Services, or Content for the following purposes: (a) engaging in any unlawful activity; (b) soliciting others to engage in unlawful acts; (c) violating any international, federal, provincial, state, or local regulations, laws, rules, or ordinances; (d) infringing upon or violating our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others; (e) harassing, abusing, insulting, harming, defaming, slandering, disparaging, intimidating, or discriminating against individuals based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; (f) submitting false or misleading information; (g) uploading or transmitting viruses or any other malicious code that could or may be used to affect the functionality or operation of the Website, Services, third-party products and services, or the Internet; (h) engaging in spamming, phishing, pharming, pretexting, spidering, crawling, or scraping activities; (i) engaging in any obscene or immoral conduct; or (j) interfering with or circumventing the security features of the Website, Services, third-party products and services, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Website and Services if you violate any of these prohibited uses.

Intellectual property rights

“Intellectual Property Rights” refers to all current and future rights granted by statute, common law, or equity concerning any copyright and related rights, trademarks, designs, patents, inventions, goodwill, and the right to sue for passing off, rights to inventions, rights to use, and all other intellectual property rights. This Agreement does not transfer any intellectual property owned by Lasvidex Security or third parties to you. All rights, titles, and interests in and to such property will remain exclusively with Lasvidex Security. All trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used in connection with the Website and Services are trademarks or registered trademarks of Lasvidex Security or its licensors. Other trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used in connection with the Website and Services may belong to other third parties. Your use of the Website and Services does not grant you any right or license to reproduce or otherwise use any trademarks of Lasvidex Security or third-party trademarks.

Disclaimer of warranty

You acknowledge and agree that the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and your use of the Website and Services is at your sole risk. We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will meet your requirements or that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Furthermore, we make no warranties regarding the results that may be obtained from using the Services, the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Services, or that any defects in the Services will be corrected.

You understand and agree that any material or data downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the Services is done at your own discretion and risk. You will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of such material or data. We make no warranties regarding any goods or services purchased or obtained through the Services or any transactions entered into through the Services, unless expressly stated otherwise. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lasvidex Security, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors shall not be liable to any individual or entity for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, damages for lost profits, revenue, sales, goodwill, use of content, impact on business, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of business opportunity) regardless of how they are caused or the theory of liability, including, without limitation, contract, tort, warranty, breach of statutory duty, negligence, or otherwise, even if the liable party has been advised of or could have foreseen the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Lasvidex Security, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors related to the Services shall be limited to the greater of one dollar or the total amount actually paid by you to Lasvidex Security for the one-month period preceding the first event or occurrence giving rise to such liability. These limitations and exclusions apply even if the remedy fails to fully compensate you for any losses or does not fulfill its essential purpose.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lasvidex Security, along with its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors, from and against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, or costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to any third-party allegations, claims, actions, disputes, or demands made against any of them as a result of or in connection with your Content, your use of the Website and Services, or any willful misconduct on your part.

Severability

All rights and restrictions set forth in this Agreement may be exercised and shall apply and be binding only to the extent that they do not violate any applicable laws. These provisions are intended to be limited as necessary to ensure that this Agreement remains legal, valid, and enforceable. If any provision or part of a provision of this Agreement is deemed illegal, invalid, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, it is the intention of the parties that the remaining provisions or portions thereof shall continue to reflect their agreement on the subject matter and shall remain in full force and effect.

Dispute resolution

The formation, interpretation, and performance of this Agreement, as well as any disputes arising from it, shall be governed by the substantive and procedural laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles, and, where applicable, by the laws of Canada. The courts located in Ontario, Canada, shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any actions related to the subject matter of this Agreement, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. You also waive any right to a jury trial in any proceeding arising from or related to this Agreement. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to this Agreement.

Assignment

You may not assign, resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer or delegate any of your rights or obligations under this Agreement, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent, which shall be granted at our sole discretion and without obligation. Any attempt to assign or transfer without such consent shall be null and void. We reserve the right to assign any of our rights or obligations under this Agreement, in whole or in part, to any third party as part of the sale of all or substantially all of our assets or stock, or as part of a merger.

Changes and amendments

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement, or its terms related to the Website and Services at any time, with such modifications becoming effective upon the posting of an updated version of this Agreement on the Website. When changes are made, the updated date at the bottom of this page will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the Website and Services following any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of and consent to the updated terms.

Acceptance of these terms

You acknowledge that you have read and understood this Agreement and agree to all its terms and conditions. By accessing and using the Website and Services, you consent to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to comply with the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to access or use the Website and Services.
