Become a Security Guard in Ontario. To work within the security industry in Ontario, you are required to complete the mandatory 40-hour security guard training program and posses a valid Ontario Security Guard license.

The Ontario security guard training program is available online and can be completed in 35.5 hours.

The online training program is accessible 24/7, which allows you to complete the course on your own time and pace. You can complete your training from home, on your PC, Cell phone or Tablet.

The training program does not expire, you can complete it in 5 days or in 5 months if you wish. You can devote as much or as little time as you need until you have completed all the training modules.

Once you have completed the online security guard training, to be eligible to apply for a security guard license in the province of Ontario, you are also required to have a valid Emergency Level First Aid & CPR Certification. This is a one day First Aid training program that you must complete in class and is not offered as an online course.

If you currently have a valid Emergency Level First Aid and CPR certificate, you do NOT have to re-certify in First Aid and CPR. However, if you do not have a valid Emergency level First Aid and CPR certificate, you will be required to register for the in-class Fist Aid training component.

Once you have completed your course registration, should you also require to complete the in-class First Aid training component, our administrative staff will follow up with you and assist you in registering for the First Aid and CPR training component. Classes are hosted weekly in every major city in Ontario.

Once your course registration is completed, you will receive your Username and Password within 12 hours to begin your online security guard training.
